Job description

We have an immediate opening for a full-time, surgical Podiatrist to join our solo private practice with multiple locations in both Kansas and Missouri. The practice is well integrated into local hospitals, working closely with primary care, vascular surgery, orthopedics, wound care, and rehabilitation services. The team focuses on evidence-based treatment of complex foot and ankle conditions, including trauma, deformity correction, sports injuries, and complications related to chronic diseases.

Daily responsibilities include taking primary foot and ankle ER/inpatient calls, performing foot and ankle surgeries, managing outpatient clinics. Additional responsibilities include thorough documentation in the medical record, participation in call coverage as assigned, contribution to quality and safety initiatives, and education of staff, residents, or students as applicable.

The ideal candidate is able to function both independently and collaboratively in an interdisciplinary setting; motivated, reliable, consistent, honest while demonstrating good bedside manners and compassion. We are looking for the right candidate with a track to partnership.

Our compensation package is competitive- $180,000 base + obtainable bonus structure= a high earning potential. This is an immediate open position for a podiatric surgeon, foot and ankle specialist. Must be able to start by November, 2026!

Requirements

  • Strong foundation in Medicine and Podiatry, including diagnosis and management of foot and ankle trauma, deformity correction, sports injuries, and diabetic limb salvages.

  • Proficiency in complex diabetic limb salvages [ie. muscle flaps, external fixators] is preferred.

  • Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from an accredited institution; completion of a CPME-accredited podiatric surgery residency (e.g., PMSR/RRA).

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in podiatric surgery by an appropriate certifying board.

  • Eligible for or holding an unrestricted podiatric license in the state of Kansas, Missouri and appropriate hospital privileges.

  • Effective communication skills, commitment to collaborative, multidisciplinary care, and a patient-centered approach.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a hospital-based clinical setting, with strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Experience with electronic health records and adherence to regulatory, coding, and documentation

  • Ability to relocate before the starting date.
