Job description

Job Description: The registered nurse provides individualized nursing care based on knowledge of basic competencies in the fundamentals of peri-anesthesia nursing and pharmacology using the nursing process applied to geriatric, adult, and adolescent patients from admission through discharge. This position requires knowledge of peri-anesthesia standards of care, airway management, nursing assessment parameters, and pharmacology, including doses, purpose, interactions, side effects, and reactions to medications. Requirements: - BLS (AHA) - CA RN Licensure - ACLS - PALS - 2 years PACU RN Experience Required, preferably in a high acute care hospital, ICU required - extensive cardiac/cath Lab experience preferred Shift: 4 x 10 days 9a - 12:30p start times; no weekends. *float required to other CPMC campuses if needed and census permits*
