Job description

PLS Logistics is seeking a Director of Strategic Partnerships to join our team in a unique role focused on expanding our presence within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry. This position leverages deep industry expertise and an extensive professional network to drive growth, inform product development, and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in the CPG vertical.
Key Responsibilities
Subject Matter Expertise
  • Serve as an industry subject matter expert, providing strategic guidance on CPG shipper needs and market dynamics
  • Contribute insights from experience at leading CPG companies to inform product development and service enhancements
  • Advise internal teams on industry best practices and emerging trends within the CPG vertical
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build solutions that deliver measurable value to CPG customers
  • Support customer engagements by providing expert perspective on industry requirements and opportunities
Network Development amp; Business Development Support
  • Leverage extensive professional relationships within the CPG industry to facilitate introductions and partnerships
  • Support the sales team in establishing credibility and facilitating connections with key decision-makers
  • Participate in customer meetings and industry events to strengthen relationships and identify growth opportunities
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and connector within the CPG ecosystem
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in director-level or higher roles within CPG companies
  • Proven track record working at major CPG organizations (e.g., Kraft, Heinz, Procter amp; Gamble, Tyson, or similar)
  • Extensive professional network within the CPG industry, with demonstrated relationships across multiple companies
  • Deep understanding of CPG operations, logistics, and supply chain requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to engage at executive levels
  • Strategic thinking with ability to translate industry insights into actionable business recommendations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Mid-career with substantial CPG experience
  • Experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or account management roles
  • Familiarity with transportation and logistics within the CPG sector
  • Previous experience in a similar advisory or subject matter expert capacity
