About the Opportunity
American Assurance Corporation is a well-established automotive warranty company with a strong reputation for helping dealers succeed. We already have a substantial existing book of business and are seeking an experienced CPA to manage and grow it.
This is a high-impact role managing tax compliance and financial strategies for approximately 40 reinsurance companies, American Assurance Corporation itself, and multiple business owners. You will work directly with automotive dealers on their reinsurance programs, providing expert guidance that helps them maximize profitability through smart dividends, loans, and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file tax returns for approximately **40 reinsurance companies**
- Manage tax strategies and compliance for American Assurance Corporation
- Provide tax strategy and financial advisory services to various business owners
- Work closely with automotive dealers on their reinsurance companies, including financial analysis and optimization
- Advise dealers on dividend distributions and prepare loan documentation against reinsurance funds
- Prepare and deliver **monthly financial reports** to reinsurance company owners
- Oversee bookkeeping, financial statements, and regulatory compliance
- Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and strategic advice
Qualifications
- Active CPA license (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred)
- 2+ years of CPA experience, preferably in tax, insurance, or reinsurance
- Experience with reinsurance structures, captive insurance, or automotive industry is a strong plus
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.)
- Excellent analytical, communication, and client service skills
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to commute to Lakewood, CO 80227
