We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our internal team. This role is responsible for overseeing the financial integrity of the organization by managing accounting operations, maintaining compliance, improving internal controls, and providing strategic financial insights to leadership.

The ideal candidate has experience in construction, real estate development, rural land transactions, and/or property management, and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.



Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & Reporting
  • Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger accounts across multiple business entities.
  • Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
  • Develop and maintain internal financial dashboards and reporting tools.
Compliance & Audit
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Coordinate and manage annual audits and assist external auditors as needed.
  • Oversee timely filing of tax returns, franchise filings, sales tax, and other regulatory requirements.
Accounting Operations
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and job cost accounting.
  • Improve accounting workflows, internal controls, and financial processes.
  • Implement and maintain accounting systems, including cost-tracking and project accounting tools.
Strategic Support
  • Provide financial insights to support company growth, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Assist leadership in evaluating investments, deal structures, and land/development transactions.
  • Support cash flow planning and expense management.
Requirements:


  • Active CPA license (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience; experience in construction, real estate, or development industries preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and corporate financial processes.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, or similar).
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
