As a Veterinary Inventory Consultant, you will serve as a trusted on-site partner to veterinary practices across the Chicago area. Working directly within customer locations, you willleveragethe Covetrus website and mobile app to conductaccurateon-hand inventory counts,identifygaps, and help practicesmaintainoptimalstock levels. This is a field-based, customer-facing role that sits at the intersection of technology, operations, and relationship management.

This is a Customer facing role requiring 100% travel to Veterinary Practices in the local Chicago area.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc inventory counts at customer veterinary practicesutilizingthe Covetrus website and mobile application.

  • Record, reconcile, and report inventory data with accuracy,identifyingany discrepancies,and collaborating with practice staff to resolve them.

  • Advise teams on optimal inventory management practices, maximizing the effectiveness of Covetrus digital tools.

  • Collaborate with internal sales and customer success teams toidentifyrestocking needs,monitorexpiring products, and highlight opportunities to enhance inventory health practices.

  • Maintain a consistent visit schedule across an assigned portfolio, fostering strong and trusted relationships with practice managers and staff.

  • Provide feedback to internal product and operations teamsregardingapp usability, customer pain points, and feature requests.

  • Ensure all inventory data is entered promptly and accurately, adhering toCovetrus'standards and customer requirements.

  • Assistwith new customer onboarding by supporting initial inventory setup and system configuration via the Covetrus platform.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • 2+ years of veterinary industry experience

  • Proficiencywith mobile apps and web-based platforms; comfortable learning and adoptingnew technologyquickly.

  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data entry and record keeping.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse customer teams.

  • Ability to work independently, manage a field schedule, and prioritize multiple customer visits.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred

  • Experience working in or with veterinary, healthcare, or pharmaceutical environments.

  • Familiarity with inventory management systems or ERP platforms.

  • Prior customer-facing or account management experience
