Liquid Personnel is recruiting Family Court Adviser for its client in Birmingham.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Conduct safeguarding checks and risk assessments within family court proceedings.ย 
  • Gather, analyse, and evaluate complex information relating to child welfare and protection concerns.ย 
  • Prepare high-quality court reports, statements, and recommendations.ย 
  • Represent and advocate for the child's wishes, feelings, and best interests.ย 
  • Undertake direct work with children, young people, and families.ย 
  • Provideย expert advice to courts on safeguarding and welfare matters.ย 
  • Manage a varied caseload across Public Law and Private Law proceedings.ย 
  • Work effectively with local authorities, legal representatives, schools, healthcare professionals, and partner agencies.ย 
  • Support the delivery of theChild Focused Court Model (CFC), ensuring children's voicesย remainย central throughout proceedings.ย 
  • Maintainย accurateย case records and utilise case management systems effectively.ย 

Qualifications & Experience:ย 

To be successful in this role you must have,ย ย 

  • Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.ย 
  • Registration with Social Work England.ย 
  • Minimumย 3 years' post-qualifying experienceย working with children and families.ย 
  • Strong experience in safeguarding, risk assessment, and child protection.ย 
  • Excellent report writing and analytical skills.ย 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, legal professionals, and partner agencies.ย 
  • Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.ย 
  • Excellent case management and organisational abilities.ย 
  • Competent IT skills and experience using electronic case management systems.ย 
  • Ability to remain professional and resilient when managing sensitive, complex, and high-conflict situations.ย 

Desirableย 

  • Previousย experience within Family Court Advisory, Child Protection, Looked After Children, or Court Teams.ย 
  • Experience working within Public Law and/or Private Law proceedings.ย 
  • Knowledge of the Child Focused Court Model and current family justice legislation.ย
