Summary

Line Cook will be working River Course, Kiawah Island Club location. TheKiawah Island Club is one of the premier private Clubs in the world. Thisposition would include working a rotating schedule with the rest of the staff throughthe grill, saute, hot apps, raw bar, and garde manger stations. The kitchen isvery busy at all times so cleanliness, punctuality, and a hard work ethic are amust. There is plenty of opportunity for moving around, learning as much aspossible, being involved in daily specials, menu adjustments, and overallkitchen operations.

Job Tasks/Duties ย 

  • Responsible for producing and providing premier food items while providing quality service to our members and guests
  • Prepares, cooks and portions meals while ensuring proper presentation of the plating of each menu item to be served
  • Sets up service units with needed items
  • Ensures that assigned work areas and equipment are clean and sanitary
  • Assists the Sous Chef in maintaining security and safety in the kitchen
  • Maintains a neat and professional appearance
  • Sets up, maintains and breaks down prep cook station.
  • Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations
  • Prepares, cooks and portions meals while ensuring proper presentation of the plating of each menu item to be served
  • Assists in the development and creation of menus to maintain or exceed established criteria, paying special attention to seasonal availability
  • ย Stores leftover food appropriately, inventories and maintains stocks of food and supplies; receives food and supplies, unpacks and stores in the appropriate location
  • Ensures that food preparation equipment, cooking and serving utensils and the kitchen work areas are orderly, clean and sanitary
  • Assists with other duties as assigned by Sous Chef
