Established in 2023, The Gate Golf Club is a non-profit organization dedicated to expanding access to golf and creating a lasting impact on the Southwest Florida community. Scheduled to open in late 2026, The Gate will feature:


· Oakwood Grill, a 175-seat freestanding full-service restaurant

· The Pavilion bar

· The Gimme concessions

· The Bays, a 30-bay state-of-the-art practice range with Trackman technology

· The Gater, an 18-hole putting course

· Jacobsen-Hardy designed 9-hole regulation-length golf course


Recognizing the limited availability of public courses in Southwest Florida, The Gate Golf Club is dedicated to making the sport more accessible for families and players of all skill levels.


The Golf Services Manager will support the Director of Golf in the launch and daily management of golf operations, with primary responsibility for Outside Services, The Bays practice range, The Gater 18-hole putting course, player services, tee sheet operations, golf carts, and the overall guest experience.


This position will play a hands-on leadership role in establishing operational standards, developing staff, maintaining facility readiness, and ensuring a seamless, welcoming experience from the time guests arrive through their entire golf experience.

Requirements:

· Manage and support daily golf operations and guest services.

· Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and develop Outside Services and player services staff.

· Provide direct oversight of Outside Services, including bag drop, golf cart staging, cart fleet readiness, player arrival and departure, club handling, and guest flow.

· Oversee daily operations and presentation of The Bays practice range, including bay readiness, Trackman technology, range equipment, cleanliness, ball supply, guest usage, and overall facility presentation.

· Provide operational oversight of The Gater 18-hole putting course, ensuring exceptional conditions, cleanliness, accessibility, and guest experience.

· Oversee tee sheet activity, pace of play, player flow, cart staging, and coordination between the golf shop, Outside Services, practice facilities, and golf course.

· Establish and maintain opening, closing, safety, cleanliness, and operational procedures for Outside Services, The Bays, and The Gater.

· Ensure golf carts, rental equipment, range equipment, club storage, staging areas, and guest service areas are clean, safe, organized, and ready for daily operation.

· Support golf shop merchandising, inventory, POS, and product receiving as needed.

· Assist with tournaments, outings, leagues, clinics, and special events, including setup, guest arrival, player flow, cart staging, and facility preparation.

· Maintain a visible leadership presence during peak periods, weekends, holidays, tournaments, and special events.

· Create a culture of hospitality by actively engaging with guests, anticipating needs, resolving issues, and ensuring consistent service standards.

· Coordinate closely with golf shop, course maintenance, food & beverage, marketing, programming, and leadership teams.

· Maintain strong vendor and industry relationships related to golf carts, range technology, equipment, and outside services.

· Play a key role in pre-opening and grand-opening preparations, including Outside Services setup, staff recruitment and training, cart and staging procedures, The Bays setup, Trackman testing, The Gater preparation, operational walkthroughs, and facility readiness.


Qualifications

· 3+ years of progressive golf operations, outside services, golf shop, club, resort, public golf, or related hospitality experience.

· High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

· Demonstrated leadership experience.

· PGA Member, Associate, PGM student, or active pursuit of PGA membership preferred.

· Strong knowledge of golf operations, guest service, pace of play, golf carts, outside services, and facility presentation.

· Experience with or ability to learn golf technology, including Trackman, POS, tee sheet, and other operational systems.

· Strong communication, organization, coaching, leadership, and guest-service skills.

· Flexible availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, tournaments, clinics, and peak seasons.

· Ability to work comfortably in an active outdoor golf environment and maintain a highly visible presence throughout daily operations.

A hands-on golf operations leader who can help build the operation from the ground up, develop and lead a high-performing Outside Services team, and take ownership of The Bays and The Gater.
