Job description

Laboratory Courier:
Under the direction of the Logistics Manager the Laboratory Courier will be responsible for specimen and package pick up as well as delivery of other laboratory materials to and from our client locations throughout a defined area.
  • Safely transports laboratory specimens between locations in a timely manner
  • Ensures the integrity of transported item as directed by supervisor and according to state and federal regulatory agencies
  • Executes delivery route as designated by Logistics Supervisor
  • Maintain accurate vehicle run log
  • Operate vehicle according to all state and federal regulations
  • Services vehicle driven, such as checking fluid levels and replenishing fuel as directed and report maintenance issues to supervisor
  • Facilitates communications and the resolution of client problems by notifying laboratory personnel
  • Other duties as directed

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Must have valid State of New Jersey Driver's license, and clean driving record
  • Previous courier or professional driving experience preferred
  • Must be able to work independently, have good decision-making skills, and be able to pay attention to details
  • Ability to prioritize work load and work in a self-directed manner
