The atmosphere is usually more private and tailored to enhancing the guest experience for couples, whether they are celebrating an anniversary, honeymoon, or simply looking to spend quality time together. Job description

FEATURED JOB OPENING: Travel the USA & Work Together
Couples/Partner Technician Teams | CDL & No CDL

Posted: 8/27/2026

TRAVEL THE USA. WORK TOGETHER. BUILD A CAREER ON THE ROAD.

Full-Time Traveling Occupational Health Technician Teams

COUPLES & PARTNERS ENCOURAGED TO APPLY — CDL AND NON-CDL OPPORTUNITIES

Health Conservation, Inc. (HCI), serving American industry since 1957, is hiring established two-person teams to travel throughout the United States providing workplace hearing and respiratory health screenings.

This is a unique career for two people who genuinely want to travel, live and work together full time. HCI provides vehicles, fuel, equipment and training. You bring teamwork, professionalism and willingness to live on the road.

THE FINANCIAL PACKAGE — MORE THAN A BASE SALARY

ANNUAL TEAM BASE SALARY: $45,000 — PLUS PER DIEM AND BONUSES

TEAM PER DIEM: $240 PER DAY — 7 DAYS PER WEEK WHILE ON ELIGIBLE HCI TRAVEL
At approximately 340 eligible travel days, a full-time team can receive up to $81,600 annually in team per diem, in addition to base salary and bonuses. Per diem is currently paid in accordance with HCI's travel and per diem program.

The $240 daily team per diem is intended to cover your hotel, meals and incidentals while traveling. The team manages its own per diem. When reasonable hotel costs exceed HCI's $110/night lodging threshold because of local market conditions, additional approved hotel reimbursement is available.

NEW TEAM SIGN-ON BONUS: $6,000 PER TEAM
$3,000 for each Technician, paid in installments at 6 months, 9 months and completion of the first year.

ONGOING RETENTION BONUS: UP TO $6,000 PER TEAM EACH YEAR
After the first full year, eligible continuing Technicians can receive $3,000 each annually, paid in January and July.

HCI PAYS FOR THE BUSINESS OF TRAVEL

  • HCI company vehicle
  • 100% of company vehicle fuel
  • Occupational health testing equipment
  • Approved job-related and operating expenses
  • Paid training and professional certification
  • Weekly direct deposit of per diem for the previous eligible travel week
  • Corporate hotel discounts
  • Medical scrubs
  • Health insurance eligibility after 30 days
  • 401(k) eligibility after one year
  • Scheduled vacation and year-end holiday shutdown periods

NO CDL? YOU STILL QUALIFY.

HCI now has multiple types of Technician Team opportunities:

CLASS A CDL TEAM
One Class A CDL Driver + one Technician/Driver Helper operating HCI mobile testing equipment.

CLASS B CDL TEAM
One Class B CDL Driver + one Technician/Driver Helper.

STANDARD DRIVER'S LICENSE TEAM — NO CDL REQUIRED
Two qualified drivers operating HCI commercial minivans and/or smaller bumper-pull mobile testing equipment. This role involves more hands-on equipment movement and setup.

Whether you are an experienced driving team, a couple looking for a completely different career, or two people who have always wanted the opportunity to travel and work together, previous occupational health experience is not required. HCI trains you.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

HCI Technician Teams travel to industrial and corporate facilities throughout the United States and provide OSHA-related occupational health screening services. Depending on the assignment, services include employee hearing screening and respiratory testing.

Both team members participate in customer service, operating HCI vehicles and equipment, setting up testing locations, working directly with client employees and completing required testing documentation.

HCI provides approximately six weeks of paid training and certification to prepare qualified teams for independent field assignments.

EE THE COUNTRY — BUT UNDERSTAND THE LIFESTYLE

This is 100% over-the-road work, not a position where you return home every weekend. Full-time teams may travel approximately 340+ days per year and can be assigned to customer locations throughout HCI's continental U.S. service territory.

You will experience different cities, regions and customer facilities while working together as an independent two-person team. The position can be an excellent fit for established couples or partners who enjoy travel, independence and spending their working life together.

Teams should expect:

  • Extended periods away from home
  • Hotel living while traveling
  • Weekday and weekend assignments as customer schedules require
  • Early mornings and varying work schedules
  • Independent work without daily on-site supervision
  • Travel to different regions of the United States

This lifestyle is not for everyone — but for the right team, it is a rare opportunity to see the USA from city to city while building a career together.

WHAT HCI NEEDS FROM YOU

Both team members must:

  • Have acceptable driving records
  • Pass required background and employment screening
  • Be comfortable using computers, email and internet-based applications
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at customer facilities
  • Be dependable and capable of working independently
  • Be physically capable of the requirements of their assigned Technician position
  • Successfully complete HCI's paid training and certification program

Technician Teams must be physically capable of routinely moving and setting up equipment weighing approximately 30–75 lbs.

CDL drivers must maintain the appropriate license and current medical certification.

Because per diem is direct deposited weekly for the previous eligible travel week, new Technician Teams must have a personal credit card in good standing with sufficient available credit to cover their initial 7–10 days of hotel, meals and incidental travel expenses until the first per diem payment is received.

No pets are permitted in HCI vehicles or mobile testing units.
Smoking is prohibited inside HCI vehicles and mobile testing units.

READY FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT?

When applying, tell us:

  1. Who will be traveling and working with you;
  2. What driver's license each team member currently holds;
  3. Whether you are prepared for full-time, year-round travel; and
  4. Why traveling and working together appeals to your team.
