Desmond Couple Therapy, Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our mental health team. • Conduct individual, couple, and family therapy sessions to address a variety of mental health concerns.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to facilitate client progress, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
• Assess clients’ needs through initial intake assessments, create personalized treatment plans, and document progress using our electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Provide psychoeducation, skill-building strategies, and support to clients and their families, equipping them with tools for managing their mental health.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care that addresses both mental and physical health needs.

Our clientele is diverse, encompassing individuals facing various life challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and life transitions. We prioritize inclusivity and understand the importance of adapting our therapeutic approaches to meet the cultural, social, and emotional needs of each client. You will have the opportunity to work with clients of all ages, from children to seniors, fostering a holistic approach to mental health.

• A valid LMFT license in the state of Oregon. Candidates with LCSW or LPC credentials will also be considered.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field; a Master’s Degree is preferred.
• Strong ethical framework aligned with best practices in therapeutic care, ensuring client confidentiality and respect.
• Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to engage clients empathetically and effectively.

• At least 2 years of direct therapy experience, ideally with a variety of populations and presenting issues.
• Proficiency in utilizing telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions, ensuring technical comfort and adaptability.
• Experience with systemic therapy approaches, particularly in a family-focused context.
