Job description

It's likely you've seen our beautiful hot springs, our crown jewel! Did you know we won the 2023 Distinctly Montana awards for Best Hot Springs and Best Hot Springs Resort? How would you like to be a part of the team that supports those awards (we plan to continue receiving this award annually)? In order to provide the best customer service to our guests, we would like to add a couple more people to our pools team.
Our mission is HAPPINESS and this is where the magic happens. Do you have what it takes to help us meet our mission by providing HAPPINESS to our guests? Exceptional customer service, excellent communication skills, and a willingness/ability to learn the basics in pool operations.
This is a Full Time opening:
      • Mid Shift - 10am - 6pm Monday - Friday

PLEASE NOTE: up to half of the Shift will be spent outside in the elements. QHSR will provide weather appropriate gear to ensure you are as comfortable as possible.This includes providing a QHSR winter parka, beanie's, wicking summer shirts, and ball cap. In SEVERE adverse weather conditions, we will assess the situation and always ensure employees' health and safety first.
Tasks/Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
  • Checking Guests in via the booking engine Opera; Emphasis on computer skills in order to provide customer service checking in, cancelling reservations, booking new reservations, responding to Guests' emails/phone calls, and providing reports as needed. Computer skills also needed to view company information, policies, and instructional job information via SharePoint. Check In workstation is to be occupied by a PSA at all times.
  • Monitoring (constantly) and addressing guest behavior in the pools as necessary while on the pool deck. Pool deck must be monitored by a PSA at all times.
  • Organizing registration cards to ensure info matches info in Opera after each Check In.
  • Company communication is primarily through Outlook email, but will also share info, attend meetings, or post job related info via Teams.
  • Preparing Day Swim Guests' Wristbands before they arrive for their reservation via OQMate.
  • Answering phones and providing guests with answers to all questions related to the Pools and the resort in general. Returning missed calls/voicemail messages before 8pm.
  • Checking Swim Shared email to assist guests with requests or needs pertaining to Swim Reservations.
  • Providing water to guests at the service window and on the pool deck hourly.
  • Washing, drying, and folding laundry on an ongoing basis; handing out towels to Guests.
  • Monitoring the cleanliness and upkeep of the changing rooms, restocking products (toilet paper, paper towels, feminine napkin dispenser bags, etc.), take out trash as needed.
  • Maintaining and preparing for the arrival of guests. This includes monitoring the cleanliness of the pool area by picking up discarded cups/trash, arranging/straightening deck furniture, turn on/off fire pits, etc. Tables must be cleaned after guests use them for meals; any dishes will be placed in the tub in the poolside bar.
  • Learning and monitoring the health of pools and pool water levels. Skimming pools hourly, cleaning pool skimmer baskets once per shift, and monitoring pool temps.
  • Learning the various functions and responsibilities associated with the pump room. Employees must be comfortable learning this and performing basic functions. *Pump adjustments, Skimmer adjustments, etc.
  • Testing LSI of Pools 6 and 7 (Saltwater Pools) accurately calculating pool adjustments as needed, and adding chemicals to the pools as directed.
  • Procuring headcounts and recording them on the daily checklist.
  • Restocking changing rooms: TP dispensers, paper towel dispensers, hand soap dispensers, all shower dispensers (shampoo, conditioner, and body wash) at the end of each shift. Restocking the supply closet as needed.
  • Misc. duties include light duty cleaning of pools reception area, tidying pool deck, restocking, labeling and logging lost & found items, stairs leading to the Pool Deck and clean break area, etc.
  • Checking lockers each night to ensure they are working correctly. Sending communication to manager regarding any that need repairs.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent communication skills with coworkers and guests.
  • Ability to address behavior issues and determine the best course of action. This includes managing challenging situations involving children, intoxicated adults, and other guest-related concerns in a professional and appropriate manner.
  • Willingness/ability to learn and enforce all the rules and guidelines of the pool complex area.
  • Experience/Willingness to learn Computer Skills associated with the PSA job
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions including rain, snow, high winds, extreme heat/cold.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain on your feet for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs unassisted (trash, laundry, etc).

Wage:
$17 to $18 per hour starting, depending on shift, wage review at 6 months. Lots of room to grow as you knowledge of the pool systems expands.
