Overview
The Traffic Coordinator position is an entry level role, ideal for someone right out of college or with a couple years of experience to join a company with a global impact. Responsible for the successful completion of export shipments from the Global Distribution Center Additionally, performs diversified duties including, tracking shipments, assisting subsidiary partners with traceability and same day shipping, offering hazardous materials for transportation, scheduling of shipments with freight forwarders and couriers, coordination of shipments with internal and external customers, and communication of shipment movement to internal and external customers.
This is a 5 days a week onsite role, hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm.
Responsibilities
  • Establish mode of transportation taking into account cost and lead-time
  • Understand and align with US Export law- release Sanctioned party blocks as appropriate
  • Monitor imports and exports and advance shipments of concern to Trade Ops/Compliance
  • Process Canadian Exports and submit files to Brokers timely
  • Partner with 3rd party carriers and forwarders to procure freight quotes for modes of transportation and service level
  • All other tasks as assigned

Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree desired OR 1-2 years distribution, warehouse or transportation experience.
  • Ability to work with team members and business partners to solve complex problems
  • Ability to become a certified Hazardous materials shipper, attaining certifications (DOT/IATA training) a plus
  • Project management and time management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and change directions quickly
