Litigation Paralegal, In-Person (Mission Viejo, California)


Do you love digging into court cases and helping people? Weโ€™re hiring an experienced legal secretary to assist our legal team in preparing legal documents, filing motions, reviewing legal documents, and keeping our firmโ€™s legal calendar. Applicants should be experienced in California civil litigation and highly organized professionals with great attention to detail. Compensation:

$65,000 - $90,000 per year depending on experience


Responsibilities:
  • Court filings, preparation of discovery, and communication with court staff and staff for opposing counsel
  • Prepare simple legal documents, correspondence, and judicial counsel form documents, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, and affidavits, under the supervision of a lawyer
  • Coordinate law office activity, including drafting subpoenas and coordinating with process servers
  • Help lawyers prepare for trial by preparing and organizing exhibits, assisting with client meetings, filing motions, conducting research on legal articles, and organizing and coordinating witnesses

Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in a civil litigation law firm under the supervision of an attorney
  • Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammar
