Water Country - Security Agent
Roles & Responsibilities:
Security Agents are responsible for maintaining a safe environment for guests and employees. The perfect candidate should have an eye for detail, a knack for problem-solving, and an ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
โ€ข Enforce all park rules and regulations
โ€ข Monitor park assets with intent to ensure the safety of all our guests and employees
โ€ข Maintain constant vigilance while the park is operating to identify any potential issues or safety concerns communicate any potential issues to other departments and/or leadership in a timely manner
โ€ข Conduct bag checks to prevent prohibited items from entering the park
โ€ข Maintain compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe environment for colleagues and guests
โ€ข Monitor guest safety and communicate conflicts to supervisors on duty
โ€ข Take control of emergencies and intense situations while remaining calm
โ€ข Professionally manage crowd control during emergency situations
โ€ข Continuously monitor guest behaviors and attempt to curtail any potential situations before they escalate further
โ€ข Exercise clear and concise communications with all park departments
โ€ข Assist in safety prevention efforts, including responding to all safety calls, fire alarms, and emergencies.
โ€ข All other duties as assigned by leadership
Education and Experience:
โ€ข High School diploma, GED, or equivalent Equivalent work experience will also be considered
โ€ข 1+ year of previous security or related experience highly desired
โ€ข NH Security Identification Card are preferred, but not required
Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.
Requirements:
โ€ข Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with NH Labor Laws
โ€ข Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
โ€ข Must be able to work third shift (overnight) if the park security operates on a 24-hour schedule
โ€ข Must have reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shift
โ€ข Must possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record
โ€ข Ability to safely and efficiently operate motorized vehicles and equipment
โ€ข Ability to comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions
โ€ข Ability to apply knowledge of security methods, procedures, interviewing, listening, and note-taking techniques for specific situations
โ€ข Ability to deal fairly, objectively, and courteously with the public without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, or political beliefs
โ€ข Ability to analyze people and/or situations quickly and calmly and take appropriate actions in a quick and effective manner
โ€ข Ability to operate a variety of electronic equipment, such as cameras, radios, personal computers, or other communication devices
โ€ข Ability to professionally and calmly deal with stressful and/or tense situations
โ€ข Ability to collaborate with other team members, external first responders, and emergency personnel during emergency situations
โ€ข Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner
โ€ข Ability to maintain certifications as required by assignment
Physical Requirements:
โ€ข Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday
โ€ข Ability to occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders
โ€ข Ability to walk, stand, or run on uphill, downhill, or uneven surfaces.
โ€ข Ability to remain sedentary for extended periods of time, while using a computer/camera equipment
โ€ข Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 30 pounds or more
โ€ข Must have good visual acuity, night vision, and peripheral vision.
โ€ข Ability to see details of objects that are more than a few feet away
Working Conditions:
โ€ข This role will be based in both an office setting as well as frequent exposure to all other indoor and outdoor park environments
โ€ข Frequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, and other weather conditions
โ€ข Subject to dark environments, particularly during midnight shift
โ€ข Subject to constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, flashing lights, and heavily populated environments
โ€ข Subject to bloodborne pathogens Proper PPE is required in these situations.
โ€ข Subject to frequent interruptions and requests that may require reprioritization of activities
