Description

Houston Country Club is seeking a dynamic Club Cafe Server. The candidate will contribute to HCC's success by providing world-class customer service for our membership. This individual creates the HCC Experience for our members by providing prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable Café Environment.

JOB DUTIES:

Acts with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Houston Country Club.

Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high-volume business.

Anticipates member needs by constantly evaluating member cues.

Working knowledge of Club policies and guidelines as outlined in the Houston Country Club Employee Handbook.

Must be organized and keep the work area neat and always sanitized.

Thorough knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, allergies, and preparation methods.

Maintains regular and punctual attendance.

Able to bring the service to our members by constantly moving around the pool, lounge chairs, and tables.

Responsible for all daily opening, during & closing duties, which include stocking items, filling requisitions, cleaning, and maintaining the overall appearance of the Club Café.

Always maintains a neat and professional appearance.

PREREQUISITES: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English Strong interpersonal skills Experience in related jobs is helpful TABC & Food Handler certified WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to work for long hours on his/her feet Must be able to work in warm, hot, sunny, and humid environments. Working conditions are often slippery and wet. Contact with mild cleaning solutions.


SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work a flexible schedule and/or overtime if needed. Must be available to work weekends and holidays (Labor Day, New Year’s, Christmas Eve, Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, Independence Day, easter, Mother’s Day).

Must possess strong leadership skills. Must work well with others as a team and help co-workers as needed. Must treat others with kindness and respect.
