Description:

Houston Country Club is seeking a dynamic Club Cafe Supervisor to lead and develop our Club Cafe team. This candidate will contribute to the HCC's success by leading a team to service our members around the club café and poolside. As shift leader, you will work closely with the club café supervisor to help with the daily operation of Club Café, ensuring exceptional service, maintaining a positive atmosphere, and reporting operational issues to the food and beverage manager.


JOB DUTIES:

Work with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the culture, values, and mission of Houston Country Club.

Work closely with the club café supervisor to address operational challenges, implement the best practices, and improve team performance.

Working knowledge of Club policies and guidelines as outlined in the Houston Country Club Employee Handbook.

Lead, train, and motivate the staff to ensure a smooth and efficient shift. Assign tasks and ensure team members are working cohesively.

Inspect checklists and ensure that opening and closing duties are completed thoroughly by all staff.

Oversee the daily operations of the club café, including monitoring stock levels, ensuring the proper setup and cleanliness of the café, and maintaining health and safety standards.

Assist with inventory checks and orders for supplies, including food, beverages, and equipment. Keep track of stock levels and report shortages to management

Always maintains a neat and professional appearance while upholding the appearance standards of staff members.

Routinely inspects surrounding areas and reports all management concerns.

Maintains a professional attitude and work ethic.

Leads by example in providing all members, children, and guests with top-quality service.

Daily Knowledge of the Pool, Tennis, and Fitness Schedule to manage accordingly

Communicates with Club Café Chef to maintain quality and consistency


Requirements:

PREREQUISITES:

Previous Hospitality Experience required

Strong interpersonal skills

Must be able to read, write, spe ak, and understand English

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be able to work in warm, hot, sunny, and humid environments.

Working conditions are often slippery and wet.

Contact with mild cleaning solutions.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to work a flexible schedule and/or overtime if needed.

Must be available to work weekends and holidays (Labor Day, New Year’s, Christmas Eve, Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Easter, Mother’s Day).

Must possess strong leadership skills.

Must work well with others as a team and help co-workers as needed.

Must be innovative and look for areas that need improvement.

Must treat others with kindness and respect.

Must be able to delegate effectively.

Perform other duties as requested or required.
