Position Summary

The Evening Line Cook is responsible for preparing and executing dinner service while maintaining a clean, organized, and properly stocked station. This position works closely with the culinary team to ensure food is prepared consistently, efficiently, and according to established standards.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Set up and maintain assigned stations for dinner service

  • Prepare and execute menu items according to established recipes, portions, and presentation standards

  • Maintain proper mise en place throughout service

  • Cook proteins, vegetables, sauces, and other menu components using appropriate techniques

  • Communicate effectively with chefs, expo, and other stations during service

  • Work with a sense of urgency while maintaining food quality and consistency

  • Monitor product levels and communicate prep or inventory needs to culinary leadership

  • Follow proper food handling, labeling, dating, cooling, and storage procedures

  • Maintain consistent food quality and proper temperatures

  • Keep workstations, equipment, coolers, and storage areas clean and organized

  • Minimize waste through proper preparation, portioning, and product rotation

  • Assist other stations and team members during service as needed

  • Assist with banquet and special-event execution when required

  • Properly break down, clean, restock, and organize the station at the end of each shift

  • Follow all sanitation, safety, uniform, and professional standards

Qualifications
  • Previous professional kitchen or line cook experience preferred

  • Basic understanding of professional cooking techniques

  • Strong knife skills and ability to safely operate kitchen equipment
