Responsibilities:
โ€ข The CI Defensive Source Operation Desk Officer shall maintain day-to-day management, direction, technical control, technical review, coordination, and oversight of CI Special Operations Concepts (CISOCs), Operations Plans (OPLANs), CI Recruitment Leads, and CI Research Projects (CIRPs).
โ€ข Management includes writing or staffing CI Special Operations Concepts (CISOCs).
โ€ข Provide a location schedule for this position no later than the Wednesday prior to the workweek.
โ€ข Maintain day-to-day management, direction, technical control, technical review, coordination, and oversight of CI Special Operations Concepts (CISOCs), Operations Plans (OPLANs), CI Recruitment Leads, and CI Research Projects (CIRPs).
โ€ข Management includes writing or staffing CI Special Operations Concepts (CISOCs).
โ€ข Coordinate Category I Operations requests from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Category I requests include records checks and operational reviews of proposed activities.
โ€ข Staff requests for support to authorized FBI Activities, including conducting operational reviews of proposed activities and identifying potential legal and operational issues.
โ€ข Staff requests for Special Collection Techniques, including conducting operational reviews of proposed activities and identifying potential legal and operational issues.
โ€ข Conduct operational coordination between DoD, ACIC, Army Service Component Commands, other Government agencies, and DA for CI matters related to counterintelligence operational activities and provide counterintelligence-related advice, guidance, and recommendations, as appropriate, to customers.
โ€ข Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly operational briefings with Government Team/Branch/Division Chiefs.
Required qualifications/skills:
โ€ข Minimum education and years of experience requirements:
o High School Diploma: 12 years of relevant experience with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.

o Associates Degree: 10 years of relevant experience with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
-OR-
o Bachelors Degree: 8 years of relevant experience with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
-OR-
o Masters Degree or higher: 6 years of relevant experience with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years.
โ€ข Must be a graduate of any of the following Military Department Counterintelligence Agent Certifying Courses:
o Army - Counterintelligence Special Agent Course (CISAC)
o Army - 35L Course (or its predecessor)
o Army - 351L Course (or its predecessor)
o Air Force -Basic Special Investigators Course (BISC), U.S. Air Force Special Investigations Academy, or predecessor
o Navy - Special Agent Basic Training Program (SABTB), Naval Criminal Investigative Service Training Academy, or predecessor
โ€ข Must be a graduate of one of the following:
o JCITA - Advanced Foreign Counterintelligence Operations Course (AFCIOC) or predecessor
o JCITA - Advanced Counterintelligence Collections Course (ACICC)
o JCITA - Military Counterintelligence Collections Course (MCC)
o JCITA - Counterintelligence Force Protection Source Operations Course (CFSO)
o HT-JCOE - Source Operations Course (SOC)
o HT-JCOE - Advanced Source Operations Course (ASOC)
o HT-JCOE - Defense Advanced Tradecraft Course (DATC)
o DIA - Advanced Military Source Operations Course (AMSOC)
o Other - FTC, OTC, MOTC, or equivalent
โ€ข Minimum 10 years of experience as a credentialed Counterintelligence Special Agent
โ€ข Understanding of CI or HUMINT collection operations
โ€ข Strong understanding of CI Flags
โ€ข Understanding of FIE TTPs
โ€ข Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.
โ€ข College education cannot be used in lieu of experience.
