Job description

Job Summary:
Performs the duties of the count position and ensures the proper collection and efficient transfer of all currency from the slot machines to the count room and then to the main bank. Day Shift: 5:00 AM-1:00 PM
Available Shifts:
  • Day Shift: 5:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Removes full drop boxes from the slot machines and transports them to the count room.
  • Verifies paperwork to the drop verification report and documents errors and corrections.
  • Keeps the Count Room management informed of all pertinent information regarding soft count activities and irregularities.
  • Verbally communicates with other team members while completing the drop of the floor.
  • Operates currency counting and sorting machines.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must be able to perform computer input and operate a ten-key adding machine.
  • Must possess basic math skills and ability to count large sums of currency.

Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations:
  • Gaming license/registration as required by the Virginia Lottery Board.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with particular attention to quality and detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to communicate with Team members and guests.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced position.

Physical Requirements:
  • The job functions encompass a varied combination of physical functions, including, but not limited to the following:
  • Constant standing, walking, reaching outward, occasionally reaching about shoulder level, and frequent squatting, kneeling, and bending.
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week, including holidays.
  • Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise, bright lights, smoke, and dust.
