Job description

Genesis Behavioral Services, sister company of Horizon Healthcare, is currently recruiting for Full and Part Time Resident Assistants for all shifts to work at our 24-Hr Community Based Residential Facilities. Resident Assistants are responsible for maintaining oversight of particpants in our designated AODA Residential Treatment program locations that work in collaboration with the Milwaukee County Behavioral Health Division and the Department of Corrections. Both Part and Full time opportunities are available during 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift, as well as weekends.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Monitor residents on assigned shift.
  2. Intervene in crisis situations, reporting to on-call counselor in case of emergency.
  3. Document and report observations and pertinent information concerning client behaviors, attitudes and interactions in the communication log.
  4. Report and monitor residential medications according to procedures.
  5. Communicate pertinent resident information to the appropriate clinical staff, families and referents when assigned.
  6. Answer phones, direct calls and take messages as assigned.
  7. Participate in scheduled staff meetings and in-service activities.
  8. Perform all duties according to the facilitys policies and procedures.
  9. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
