This remote position allows the Licensed Mental Health Counselor to work from the comfort of their home while also having access to our outpatient office for in-person sessions when necessary. You will engage in a supportive virtual environment equipped with the latest technology and resources to facilitate client interaction and information management.

• Conduct comprehensive client assessments through interviews and standardized evaluations to identify individual mental health conditions.
• Develop, implement, and regularly update tailored treatment plans based on clients’ specific mental health issues and personal goals.
• Provide one-on-one psychotherapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions and family counseling as appropriate, using skilled techniques to foster communication and resolution among family members.
• Monitor client progress continuously, utilizing tools to measure outcomes and adjusting treatment plans to reflect progress and changing needs.
• Document all client interactions, treatment progress, and updates in a timely and accurate manner within our electronic medical records system.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals to provide integrated care approaches that maximize client outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through webinars, workshops, and conferences to stay informed on the latest mental health treatments and policies.

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will primarily work with a diverse population of clients grappling with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and relationship challenges. Our clients vary from adolescents to adults, and you will have the privilege to assist them on their journey to emotional health and recovery.

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.
• A valid state license to practice as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York.
• A minimum of two years of experience providing mental health counseling to diverse populations.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling strong relationships with clients and team members.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating independence in clinical settings.
• A thorough understanding of various evidence-based practices and their application in treatment.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and telehealth platforms.

• Experience working with specific populations such as children, veterans, or individuals with substance use disorders.
• Proficiency in integrating technology into the therapeutic process, including teletherapy and online assessment tools.
• Prior documentation experience utilizing EMR systems that support efficient client record maintenance.

Empowerment Pathways Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 to $95,000 yearly, commensurate with experience.
