Job description

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Y&M HEALTH CARE SERVICES INC. is seeking a qualified Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide occupational therapy support services to children and/or adults in home, community, and/or school-based settings in the South Florida area.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Implement treatment activities according to the patient's individualized plan of care.
  • Assist clients with functional skills, activities of daily living, fine motor skills, and therapeutic activities.
  • Monitor client progress and communicate observations to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
  • Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation and daily notes.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, families, caregivers, and members of the therapy team.
  • Follow agency, payer, and applicable professional requirements.
  • Provide compassionate, client-centered care.

Requirements:

  • Current Florida COTA license/certification as required.
  • Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current CPR certification, if required for the position.
  • Reliable transportation for home and community-based services.
  • Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation.
  • Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
