Product Managers are responsible for setting a product vision and strategy, drawing out the most value from a product and guiding Product Owners to execute on the product vision. The Product Manager also works closely with architects and other technical leads to ensure the solution effectively addresses program priorities while maintaining technical integrity. The Product Manager also attends most relevant product management meetings, planning, and backlog/vision refinement sessions. Product Managers work with Product Owners and customers to understand and communicate their needs, define system features, and participate in validation.

ROLE

Job Duties/Essential Functions
DEFINING THE PRODUCT ROAD MAP
Takes accountability for the translation of requirements into product vision, roadmap, epics, and features in partnership with the Business Product Manager.

Co-leads the creation of the product vision based on Value Stream epics and derive the set of necessary product features and technical architectural runway to deliver value iteratively.

Represents the voice of the technologist in building a close and effective partnership with Business Product Manager to create and update the product roadmap quarterly to reflect the evolving priorities of the business, resource constraints, compliance and regulatory policies, and market conditions.

Collaborates with Value Stream Owners (both Business and Technology) to redefine and prioritize the technical architectural runway to align with evolving priorities and organizational needs.

Validates the technical feasibility of product features and provides high-level guidance on dependencies, order, level of effort, integration approaches, and technology modernization goals with input from appropriate technical shared services resources.


Participates in planning ceremonies for the Product and helps Delivery Teams interpret the product backlog and make technical design decisions.

Co-leads PO Sync ceremony with Business Product Manager to provide guidance and support to Product Owners in technical decisions and making tradeoffs.

Coordinates with other Product Managers (both Business and Technology) within and across value streams to identify and
proactively plan for dependencies based on resources, skills, capacity, schedule, features, or tools and technologies.

Acts as an escalation channel for Product Owner in partnership with Business Product Manager.

Aligns with Value Stream Owners (both Business and Technology) regularly and escalates issues and roadblocks in a timely manner.

Supports the Portfolio Manager in collecting product health data.

Acts as an evangelist for the product and communicates the product vision and value in technical forums and governance bodies.

Serves the organization as the Product subject matter expert with respect to emerging technologies, data strategy, and integration with other products and services.
REQUIRED
5+ years current experience working within a software development environment as a Product Manager or similar role.

4+ years' experience working on complex development projects.

5+ years' experience with creating documentation for communication with varied audiences.

2+ years current experience successfully completing projects within an Agile environment.

2+ years demonstrable experience driving complex technology projects to successful completion.

Experience in project execution and follow-up.

Proficiency with Agile/Scrum software development methodology.

Possesses excellent interpersonal skills, with proven ability to negotiate and engage with individuals at all levels of the business.

Ability to demonstrate strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Communicates information in ways that can be easily understood.

Possesses strong work ethic, demonstrated attention to detail and excellent time management skills.

Deadline oriented and capable of self-management.

Ability to communicate fluently across business, product, and technology boundaries. Can communicate comfortably with Engineers, Designers, Operations, Business Stakeholders and an Executive level audience.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with increased complexity.

Demonstrated ability to manage conflict.
Recommended
Proficiency with product management methodologies (including user research and product discovery).

Experience with Services Oriented and Microservice architectures, and other platform level technologies and approaches.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Excellent organizational skills.

Ability to work both independently and within a close team environment.

A passion for being part of a team willing to self-assess to continually innovate processes to achieve success.

Proficient in Google Workspace applications, including Sheets, Docs, Slides, and Gmail.

Level 1 - $80,200 - $108,000


Level 2 - $95,000 - $130,000


Level 3 - $125,000 - $162,000
