Chicago, IL | Full-Time

Qiao Lin Hotpot is seeking an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Front of House Manager to join our Downtown Chicago team.

Qiao Lin Hotpot is known for authentic Chongqing-style hot pot, premium ingredients, and attentive hospitality. We are looking for a strong leader who can maintain excellent service standards, develop the front-of-house team, and support the continued growth of our Downtown location.

Compensation and Benefits

Responsibilities
  • Lead daily front-of-house operations and ensure a smooth, welcoming guest experience
  • Supervise, train, coach, and motivate servers, hosts, food runners, bussers, bartenders, and other FOH team members
  • Create and manage employee schedules based on business needs and labor targets
  • Monitor service quality, table flow, reservations, wait times, and dining room organization
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and resolve issues promptly
  • Maintain high standards for cleanliness, appearance, hospitality, and restaurant organization
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily priorities, promotions, and service expectations
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and employee development
  • Work closely with the General Manager and Kitchen Manager to improve communication between FOH and BOH
  • Monitor labor costs, beverage sales, guest feedback, and other key operating goals
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, alcohol service regulations, and applicable labor laws
  • Be present and actively involved during busy nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
Qualifications
  • Minimum of two years of restaurant management or strong front-of-house leadership experience
  • Experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant is preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable coaching employees, providing feedback, and holding the team accountable
  • Strong understanding of guest service, restaurant operations, scheduling, and labor management
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Experience with OpenTable, POS systems, scheduling software, or similar restaurant technology is a plus
  • Knowledge of hot pot, Asian cuisine, or additional languages is helpful but not required
