Job Purpose

The Customer Business Manager is directly responsible for driving partnership with Costco merchants and collaborating with cross-functional partners internally to grow Unilever's beauty and wellbeing (hair and skin care) business with Costco. The purpose is to deliver sustainable and competitive growth by developing and optimizing assortment, driving return on investment as it relates to promotion and demand creation, partnering with supply chain to deliver on-time and in-full and leveraging insights to build for the future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and execute joint business plans with Costco
  • Relationship management and influence, both with Costco and internal partners
  • Own the relationship with category buyers at Costco
  • Act as the primary liaison on all business issues both internal and external
  • Work closely cross functional teams; Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Category Management and Strategy, Supply Chain, Insights, etc.
  • Drive trade investment effectiveness and efficiency; partner with shopper marketing to do the same
  • Drive insights to action, delivering key insights to business partners, while leveraging data to optimize how we go to market with Costco.
  • Understand external environment competitive environment at Costco, along with what's happening across club and nationally that could impact the business.
  • Champion and drive strategic selling initiatives for Unilever with Sam's Club
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 5+ years experience in CPG or Retail Industry
  • A self starter, who takes ownership of their business
  • Analytical expertise, ability to see trends and develop recommendations from data (i.e., Circana, Nielsen, Numerator)
  • Skilled written and verbal communicator
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and complex situations
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence others
  • Willing and able to travel ~15% of the time (est. 4-6 trips per year)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Club experience, working with Costco, Sam's Club or BJ's
  • Net Revenue Management or experience in creating assortment to meet financial requirements for CPG and retailer.
  • Passion for Wellness and beauty categories

Pay: The pay range for this position is $103,000 to $154,400. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
