This role is paid on an hourly basis with a range of $31.25-$36.06 and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable laws. The expected approximate annualized compensation range is $65,000–$75,000.

Summary of the Role

As a Design Technology Support Specialist, supporting Core States Group’s Architecture and Engineering teams you will identify, track, escalate, and resolve design technology issues across project workflows. This role assists with support requests related to AutoCAD, Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud/Forma Cloud, ACC Docs, file access, project setup, model coordination, and related design technology processes. This position works closely with the Design Technology team, Workplace team, outside vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to improve response times, document recurring issues, and support practical workflow improvements.


Responsibilities

  • Provide design technology support for Architecture and Engineering project teams using AutoCAD, Revit, and Autodesk Construction Cloud / Forma Cloud tools.
  • Review, triage, track, and document incoming design technology tickets to support timely resolution and improved SLA performance.
  • Coordinate with the Workplace team to understand ticket flow, identify bottlenecks, and support process improvements that reduce ticket response and resolution times.
  • Escalate technical issues, software errors, and recurring workflow challenges to the appropriate Design Technology Lead based on discipline, software, or project need.
  • Document known issues, troubleshooting steps, recommended solutions and reoccurring support themes for internal use.
  • Support the development and scaling of the Design Technology problem-solving agent by helping gather, organize, validate, and maintain support knowledge.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors, consultants, and software support teams to communicate technical issues, track resolutions, and share updates with internal stakeholders.
  • Assist project teams with software-related questions, project setup issues, file access, model coordination concerns, ACC Docs usage, and other design technology workflows.
  • Identify inefficiencies in current support processes and recommend improvements to increase responsiveness, consistency, and user experience.
  • Maintain clear records of support issues, resolutions, escalations, vendor responses, recurring problem areas, and lessons learned.
  • Support Design Technology Leads with documentation, training resources, workflow guides, issue-tracking summaries, and internal knowledge base content.
  • Promote adoption of established Core States design technology standards, processes, workflows, and best practices.
  • Provide data-informed feedback to the Design Technology Department regarding common issues, software pain points, recurring support needs, and workflow improvement opportunities.

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Design Technology, Computer Science, or similar field, a plus.
  • 2–5 years of experience in a design technology, BIM support, CAD support, project technology, help desk, technical support, or similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience working with internal support tickets, software troubleshooting, technical issue documentation, or issue escalation preferred within an Architectural or Engineering environment.
  • Demonstrated experience assisting users with cloud-based design collaboration platforms preferred.
  • AutoCAD and Revit experience
  • Autodesk Construction Cloud / Forma Cloud, including ACC Docs
  • Working knowledge of file management, model coordination, permissions, and cloud-based project collaboration workflows
  • Proficient in Microsoft products, including Teams, Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint

This can be a remote or a hybrid (1 or 2 days a week in the office) position based out of the following Core States Group offices; Charlotte, NC; Philadelphia, PA; Somerville, NJ; Tampa, FL; or West Chester, PA
