We are seeking a hands-on Production Line Lead to oversee daily production line operations while actively working alongside the team. This role combines leadership and production responsibilities to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are consistently met in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who can motivate a team, troubleshoot issues, and contribute directly to production tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Coordination
  • Lead and support production associates to meet daily production goals
  • Assign tasks, monitor attendance, and ensure proper line coverage
  • Train, coach, and mentor employees on processes, safety, and best practices
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
  • Step in as backup to the supervisor/manager as needed

Production & Operations
  • Perform hands-on production tasks such as food prep, assembly, cooking, and packaging
  • Operate equipment and assist with minor troubleshooting
  • Ensure production schedules are met efficiently and on time
  • Inspect products and packaging to ensure quality standards are maintained

Quality, Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce food safety standards including GMPs and HACCP procedures
  • Monitor sanitation, temperature logs, and safe food handling practices
  • Identify and address quality issues, including segregation of non-conforming products
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Documentation & Reporting
  • Accurately complete production records, logs, and reports
  • Track production data and update digital systems/scorecards
  • Understand and communicate the impact of production performance on quality and cost

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (or related experience)
  • 1+ year of experience in food manufacturing or similar environment
  • Previous leadership or lead experience preferred
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
  • Forklift experience is a plus

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in hot/cold, wet, and noisy environments
  • Regular standing, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 70 lbs)
  • Comfortable working around machinery and fast-paced production lines
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and varying shifts as needed
