Job description

What to Expect We are currently seeking to fill the position of Lead Security Officer. This position will be responsible to lead the operational and administrative duties of all security-related functions associated with an assigned shift. The ideal candidate will be professional, adaptable to change, have strong situational awareness and be customer service oriented. Candidate must be able to maintain a highly secure work environment and work well with all levels of management. This position may include work on nights, weekends, and holidays. This position will require visits other sites to provide breaks and oversee guards.
What You'll Do
  • Provide customer service to executive staff, personnel, guests, and contractors. Responsible for the access control of assigned location
  • Provide support to executive staff for special events, and meetings. Remains keenly alert always, alerting all employees and others to possible threats or situations requiring immediate attention
  • Executes company procedures to ensure the physical protection of personnel, and property, while meeting required codes and regulations
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with management, employees, and guests
  • Assists with the operation of security systems: CCTV, access control, and incident reporting. Responsible for the emergency response to medical, fire or other emergency incidents onsite
  • Maintains record keeping system for security related activities: incidents, events, and drills. Reviews incident reports for clarity and correctness
  • Assists with supervisory duties to include scheduling of AP security staff, conducting shift briefings, serve as the main point of contact for AP related issues, and fills open shifts to ensure continuous coverage

What You'll Bring
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and meet uniform and grooming standards. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbal and written, in English
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience preferred and 3+ years of experience in a guard or security officer position
  • Proficient with computers including Microsoft Office applications as well as knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols preferred
  • Must have a high level of integrity, confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism
  • Valid driver's license required to be able to operate assigned fleet
  • Ability to obtain and maintain state-specific guard card or other licensing requirements
  • Current First Aid/AED/CPR certification
