Role and Responsibilities

  • Workflow & Production Oversight
  • Assign daily tasks to operators based on skills and workload.
  • Monitor Equipment utilization and Maintenance.
  • Ensure adherence to production schedules and prioritize urgent orders.
  • Assist supervisor with inventory reports and act as supervisor in their absence
  • Team Management & Development
  • Act as first point of contact for operators.
  • Mentor and train new team members, reinforcing best practices.
  • Support employee engagement and retention by addressing pain points.

Quality & Safety

  • Enforce quality standards and oversee in-process checks.
  • Promote and monitor safe work practices, lead by example.
  • Report and resolve safety/quality issues quickly.
  • Lead Stretches and conduct safety audits

Communication & Coordination

  • Serve as a bridge between operators, production, and management.
  • Provide regular updates on progress, issues, and capacity.
  • Support implementation of new processes, tools, and IT systems.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for process efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Partner with management on backlog reduction strategies.
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing/technical environment.
  • Ability to obtain a hoist and Forklift license.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
