Focused on delivering unsurpassed services in support of law enforcement and homeland security, FSA Federal has a vacancy for an Accounting Manager.

Reporting to the VP Finance & Accounting, the Accounting Manager plays a key role in the Finance department's continuity, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Primary manager for the monthly financial close process to ensure financial statements are generated timely and accurately.
  • Review the compilation of regular monthly and reversing journal entries.
  • Post cost, revenue, and cash transactions on an as-needed basis.
  • Review overall balance sheet and income statements for any reporting discrepancies that require correction.
  • Execute the review of monthly General Ledger account reconciliations with a particular focus on the cash accounts.
  • Effectively manage cash balances to ensure availability of funds to meet disbursement needs.
  • Work closely with Payroll to complete biweekly payroll disbursements.
  • Engage with Accounts payable for timely cash disbursements.
  • Management responsibility for tax filings.
  • Lead for annual financial audit and financial statement preparation.
  • Execute continuity in current procedures & policies as well as the development of new procedures.
  • Administration management ofCostpoint GL,Deltek T&E, and bank accounts.
  • Support annual budgeting cycle.
  • Point of contact for technical finance questions related to Deltek Costpoint.
Minimum Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration/Management.
Skills/Qualifications Required
  • Managerial experience preferred.
  • Government contracting experience. T&M contract experience preferred.
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint.
  • Microsoft Excel advanced level experience required.
  • Extensive experience using judgment to plan and accomplish goals;analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
