Accounting Specialist\n\nTimpl has partnered up with a 1-tier automotive supplier for global company and\nis looking for an Accounting Specialist.\n\n\nJob Summary: \n\nThe Cost Accountant will evaluate profitability, identify manufacturing\nvariances and develop corrective recommendations in order to assist in timely\ncompletion of month-end close activities and reporting requirements. The Cost\nAccountant will also be accountable for the ongoing analysis of the standard\ncosting process and the impact on margin and manufacturing variances. Reporting\nto the Accounting Manager, the individual in this role will work as a member of\nthe finance team to establish departmental and company objectives.\n\nJob Responsibilities: \n\n * Analyzes daily production.\n * Maintains parts files; creates new bill of material and updates finished good\n parts file.\n * Updates costs as needed.\n * Prepares daily or weekly reports of variances, which enable plant management\n to "manage" the plant\n * Analyzes outside warehouse inventory levels\n * Helps control and maintain part and labor standards.\n * Established costs and inputs bill of material.\n * Assist with budget process.\n * Serves as back-up for Accounts Payable.\n * Balance sheet account reconciliation.\n * Processes timekeeping records for payroll.\n * Assists with Government reports, taxes, insurance, capital requests and other\n special projects\n * Provides direct supervision to subordinates, including making hiring/firing\n decisions, providing training and development opportunities, and conducting\n performance reviews and coaching sessions,\n * Responsible for reporting daily inventory Key Performance Indicators.\n * Perform analytical review of financial results and understand factors driving\n variance.\n * Is responsible for all inventory transactions.\n * Daily verification of production postings to insure proper inventory is\n reported.\n * To research any discrepancies in regards to lot locations.\n * To insure that inventory is correct at all times.\n * To track low code products and notify management of low code items.\n * Conduct physical inventory when the required monthly inventories are required\n by corporate.\n * Keep Managers informed of any inventory issues.\n * Analyzes outside warehouse inventory levels.\n * Analyzes all inventory variances and reports.\n\nJob Requirements:\n\n * Bachelor's degree required.\n * 2+ years of actual cost accounting work experience.\n * 2+ years in a manufacturing environment.\n * Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial\n markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data
