Job description

We are seeking extra ordinary full time or part time Cosmetologist who can engage with our amazing customers and provide services that exceed customer expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Working with hair, such as cut, shampoo, style, color, texturize and hair extensions.
  • Using equipment, such as scissors, clippers, curlers, straighteners, and dryers.
  • Providing such as scalp treatments, scalp massages, and using a variety of products.
  • Shaping eyebrows and removing or trimming unwanted hair from the face.
  • Giving demonstrations and advice on makeup use.
  • Performing nails services, such as softening and trimming cuticles, shaping nails, and applying nail polish.
  • Keeping your work area and equipment clean and sanitary.
  • Elicit customer feedback and answer question related to services provided.
  • Occasionally performing business tasks, such as answering phones and making appointments.
  • Developing new hairstyle, makeup application techniques, and other beauty treatment processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality as well as sensitivity related to age plus gender during client interactions.
  • Reports any unusual customer interactions to supervisor promptly.
  • Assist in arrangement of products on shelves, reporting out of stock items.
  • Open to continuous learning of new hair and color techniques and training related to career development.
  • Assist in training and mentoring other stylists.
  • Understand guests needs and educate them on OYESPA services in other domains.
  • Provide feedback and assist in tweaking the services to increase guest experience and revenue on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain necessary certification on an ongoing basis to comply with any regulations.

Desired Skills and qualifications

  • Cosmetology license
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5-7 years' experience working in a Salon or Spa
  • Aveda Hair Color System and Aveda Product Knowledge is required.
  • Has strong professional presentation, technical ability and relationship building
  • Actively participates in advance training or ongoing education in specific skill trade
  • Experience in administrative or operational and computer skills would be a plus
  • Experience in Nail- Manicures & Pedicures would be a plus
  • Experience in Lashes would be a plus
