Job description

Drive revenue growth and strengthen customer relationships across Coty’s pharmacy and perfumery channels. This role focuses on achieving sales targets, delivering exceptional in-store execution, and building profitable partnerships. You will optimise account performance, implement commercial strategies, and elevate brand visibility across your territory.

As our Pharmacy Account Manager, you play a critical role in developing and managing assigned Pharmacy & Perfumery customers to optimize sales and revenue opportunities across the Coty portfolio of brands by achieving and exceeding designated sales targets, building and growing new and existing customer relationships, delivering exceptional in-store execution and developing profitable business across all brands and products.

You will be reporting to National Business Manager, and you will manage:

 

Account Management

  • Manage strong business relationships with assigned customer accounts to drive and maximise sales across the Coty portfolio of brands and products.
  • Deliver an exceptional level of customer service to account customers.
  • Analyse sales performance and promotional effectiveness of assigned accounts in order to develop and implement account strategies based on current and anticipated customer requirements.
  • Negotiate store marketing and promotional plans in line with individual store and Coty requirements.
  • Deliver on designated sales plans, targets, KPIs business goals and budgets to maximise sales and profitability within the allocated customer base.
  • Maintain regular quality contact with the customer base ensuring adherence to set call cycles as agreed with National Business Manager.
  • Prepare and present sales strategies utilising available marketing programs to reach set targets.
  • Promote brand awareness and present promotional programs that maximise sales opportunities.
  • Monitor market and advise management of changes in competition, product availability or related matters.
  • Implement and drive trade marketing policies and plans including merchandising guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance to planograms, new launches and relevant brand authorisation criteria.
  • Support the National Account Managers for Pharmacy in maintaining strong business relationships with major pharmacy groups.
  • Assist in resolving any key account store issues (e.g. missing point of sale, Coty stand maintenance or delivery issues) through coordination with the National Field Team and the Customer Service Team
  • Collate launches on the brand activity calendars, prepare monthly promotional communications to relevant stakeholders and carry out compliance checks
  • Co-ordinate installation, dispatch, merchandising and orders for new stores or store relocations and repairs for existing stores

 

In store sales management & execution

  • Implement and drive Coty marketing, sales and promotional objectives to expand in line with agreed distribution.
  • Develop customer loyalty and product knowledge.
  • Promote brand awareness, present promotional programs and provide in store sales support and assistance as required.
  • Deliver product training to promote brand knowledge and awareness.
  • Undertake business development activities to support Coty brands.

 

Reporting and operational responsibilities

  • Analyse sales data, track performance against targets, and provide actionable insights
  • Manage order processing, reporting, and territory database maintenance
  • Coordinate store installations, merchandising, and promotional execution
  • Support resolution of operational issues through collaboration with internal teams
  • Complete all reporting, forecasting, and administrative tasks within required timelines

 

YOU ARE A COTY FIT

  • 3-4 years business-to-business sales experience in an Account Management role, preferably with a background in luxury &/or mass cosmetics and fragrance.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in sales & marketing or related discipline highly regarded.
  • High level interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively with sales and other functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint,Word)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the assigned territory
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required from time to time in line with retail industry needs.
