Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works as part of the production crew with a focus on the production run of corrugated sheets. Will be responsible for quality checks, padding order for shipping and other duties as assigned.
Assists with running orders when the machine is ready by watching the run continue smoothly and without problem.
If a problem arises, such as machine failure, product quality is not to standard, or a shortage of paper, this individual notifies the operator of the problem.
May need to work with management, maintenance, and other company employees to fix the problem.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Graduate or GED.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, such as schedules and orders.
Must be able to use and read a tape measurer to 1/16th of an inch.
Must be willing to work overtime on short notice, including weekends.
Ability to work in manufacturing environment, with varying temperatures based on season, around machinery, and heavy Forklift traffic.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Shifts available are 1st/2nd/3rd.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1 + year of experience in a packaging or other manufacturing environment.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
  • Starting salary for position: $22.29 + applicable off shift differential.
  • Bonus: Annual - Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.
  • Paid Vacation: Two weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
  • Paid Holidays.
  • Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision - and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
  • Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions
