Job description

Description:

Corrigan Krause is assisting their client, Diskin Enterprises, LLC, in the search for a permanent Senior Accountant located in Garrettsville, OH. As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting the company's financial and administrative areas, while also being an integral part of moving the business forward. This position allows for an excellent path of growth as you will learn and work directly with the Vice President.


Responsibilities

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Support and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Assist with sales tax, workers’ compensation, and other compliance filings
  • Maintain the general ledger and reconcile balance sheet accounts
  • Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis with leadership
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures and internal controls
  • Collaborate with the Vice President and Controller on special projects and quarterly reporting
  • Develop a deep understanding of company operations and take on increasing responsibility with the goal of transitioning into the Controller role over time
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field strongly preferred
  • 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
  • Experience with Global Shop Solutions or similar software a plus
  • Excel and Word proficiency required
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Desire and capacity to grow into a leadership role
  • Ability to take and pass a background check
