Fuel Dispatcher

on-site in Brighton, MI | Full-Time | 4 Days On / 4 Days Off | Start Time: 4:00 AM


At Corrigan Oil, every day is different. We're looking for a highly organized, quick-thinking Fuel Dispatcher who thrives in a fast-paced environment where every decision matters. If you're someone who enjoys solving problems, coordinating moving pieces, and keeping drivers and customers on schedule, we'd love to meet you.


For nearly 70 years, Corrigan has been a family-owned company built on safety, service, and doing the right thing. Today, we're one of the Midwest's leading fuel transportation companies with approximately 900 employees across multiple divisions—and we're continuing to grow.


What You'll Do

You'll be the hub of our transportation operation by:

  • Dispatching fuel transport drivers and managing daily delivery routes.
  • Monitoring driver locations, hours of service, and ELD compliance.
  • Making real-time routing adjustments as customer needs change.
  • Coordinating emergency deliveries and schedule changes.
  • Working closely with drivers, fleet maintenance, customer service, and billing.
  • Providing customers with accurate delivery updates and ETAs.
  • Planning efficient routes that maximize productivity while maintaining exceptional customer service.
  • Supporting a safe, compliant, and efficient transportation operation.
What Makes You Successful

We're looking for someone who:

  • Loves solving logistical puzzles.
  • Can juggle multiple priorities without losing attention to detail.
  • Communicates professionally with drivers, customers, and coworkers.
  • Works well independently while remaining a strong team player.
  • Enjoys a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

Experience with dispatching, transportation logistics, GPS/ELD systems, trucking operations, or fleet coordination is highly valued.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of local geography and commercial vehicle operations is preferred.
  • Ability to learn dispatch and routing software.
  • Ability to successfully pass a 7-year criminal background check.
  • Dispatch experience is highly preferred
