Michael Sullivan & Associates LLP is seeking a full-time Legal Assistant with workers\' compensation experience to join our team! The Legal Assistant maintains a close professional relationship with attorneys and manages their day-to-day activities. 

JOB SUMMARY 

The Legal Assistant: 

  • Provides administrative and clerical support to one or more attorneys and the Office Supervisor.
  • Prepares correspondence and simple to moderately complex legal documents.
  • Schedules medical appointments.
  • Proofreads documents for spelling and grammar.
  • Organizes and maintains files.
  • Screens telephone calls and visitors.
  • Reads and responds to mail.

Skills & Experience 

Requirements: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ABA-approved paralegal certificate OR Bachelor\'s Degree
  • At least two years’ of workers\' compensation experience
  • Strong written and oral communication
  • Highly organized
  • MS Word proficiency
  • Type 50 wpm
  • Demonstrable ability to maintain confidentiality
