Quantico, VA
The RFMSS Administrator shall report to and receive direction derivatives from the project manager. The RFMSS Administrator shall provide aviation safety, ground safety, laser safety, range certification support. The certification of Marine Corps ranges requires personnel knowledgeable and capable of providing analysis, recommendations, and implementation on certification of programs, including but not limited to specific disciplines for execution of the following:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide analysis of installation range certifications IAW MCO 3550.9A with emphasis on live fire integration and range operations with GIS support through the Range Managers Toolkit (RMTK).
  • Provide the analysis of air to ground, ground to ground weapons deliveries with accompanying laser utilization concerning installation range certification packages design.
  • Provide technical expertise concerning the implementation of range certification packages in a web enabled environment on the Marine Corps Range and Training Area Management System (MCRTAMS).
  • Aid with aviation, ground, laser, range certification package development IAW MCO 3550.9A.
EDUCATION
  • High school diploma or equivalent is the minimum education level acceptable for this position.
  • Required: Range Safety distance learning course (MarineNet).
  • Required: Graduate of the RFMSS Functional Administrator course.
  • Required: Graduate of the Inter-Service Range Safety Course.
  • Required: Graduate of the Range Airspace Manager Course.
  • Required: Graduate of the Range Manager Tool Kit (RMTK) ~ formerly Geographic Information System (GIS) for Range Managers Course.
  • Graduate of the Weapons Danger Zone (WDZ) Course (preferred).
  • Graduate of the Technical Laser Range Safety Course (TLRSC) (preferred).
  • Graduate of Laser Range Management Tool (LRMT) (preferred).
EXPERIENCE
  • Ideal candidate is a former Marine who has experience working in the Range Control community.
  • Minimum of one year experience using RFMSS.

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Prolonged outdoor exposure to the elements.
  • Qualification as an authorized company driver is required.
  • All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company’s auto insurance provider.
SECURITY CLEARANCE
  • A Secret security clearance is required for this position.
ESTIMATED COMPENSATION
  • $70,000-$170,000
