Senior ServiceNow Systems Administrator, Atlanta, GA
We have an opening for a Senior ServiceNow Systems Administrator. ServiceNow is the enterprise platform utilized globally as the system of truth for Change Requests, Configuration Management (CMDB), Incidents, IT Asset Management, Knowledge Management System, Problems, Service Requests, etc. Effective support of this platform is essential to the business operations of the company. The Senior Systems Administrator position plays an important role in support, enhancement, & integration of this platform. This is a senior technical role within the Service Management Systems (SMS) team. Although there is no supervisory function in this role the resource plays an important technical lead within the team. This position is 100% Onsite and not open for Remote.
Senior ServiceNow Systems Administrator Responsibilities:
- Design and build integrations with various systems (especially using Integration Hub).
- Develop code per best practices of ServiceNow for enhancements.
- Ensure the platform adheres to corporate Security Policy as well as ISO 27001/2 requirements.
- Install and maintain ServiceNow patches up to date.
- Learn the corporate ITSM processes to address Change Requests, Incidents, Problems, etc.
- Manage the users, groups, and their specific access to the platform.
- Mentor the technical resources within the SMS team.
- Monitor the MID Servers to ensure adequate uptime and accurate configuration.
- Plan and upgrade ServiceNow twice annually.
- Support the ServiceNow platform as the most senior technical lead.
- Utilize the Agile Development application for code development.
- Work as a team with the Service Management Systems team and stakeholders.
- Must be able to take a project and work independently.
Senior ServiceNow Systems Administrator Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Full understanding of ServiceNow best practices in coding, workflows, etc.
- Knowledge of ITIL and ITSM is preferred.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB best practices is highly desired including Common Services Data Model (CSDM), Discovery (Automated Horizontal Discovery), & Service Mapping (Automated Vertical Discovery).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in ITSM, ITOM modules.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT Operations working with a variety of IT teams.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in ServiceNow platform.
- Previous experience supporting CMDB and CSDM.
- Must have a current and active ServiceNow System Admin Basic Certification.
- ServiceNow System Administration Advanced Certification is a plus.
- ServiceNow HAM Pro & SAM Pro preferred.
