The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, executing, and overseeing strategic marketing plans across multiple properties and outlets. This includes managing the marketing teams at each hotel, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives, and driving brand awareness, guest engagement, and revenue growth. The role encompasses leadership over marketing managers, marketing associates, and marketing coordinators, and collaboration with operations teams, vendors, and community partners.

The following job functions should contribute to the overall development of advertising campaigns, maximizing ROI, and maintaining strong public relations and brand image.
  1. Leadership & Strategy:
    • Lead, mentor and support Marketing Curators, providing strategic direction and ensure that all marketing channels are cohesive and adhere to an omni-channel marketing approach.
    • Foster collaboration between marketing, sales, operations, and F&B teams to ensure alignment on marketing initiatives and timely deliverables.
    • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans tailored to the needs of each property while aligning with corporate marketing goals.
    • Regularly review marketing strategies, assessing performance, identifying opportunities, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance guest engagement and revenue.
    • Manage marketing budget and resources effectively, ensuring maximum efficiency and effectiveness in all marketing activities.
    • Collaborate with sales, operations, and other departments to align marketing efforts with overall business goals.
    • Apply effective project management skills and processes to stay organized and on track with marketing tasks, timelines, and deliverables.
    • Report on overall marketing efforts routinely.
    • Lead property marketing meetings routinely.
  2. Digital Marketing and Social Media:
    • Supervise the development and execution of social media strategies, ensuring high-quality content and consistent engagement across platforms.
    • Monitor and analyze digital marketing metrics (e.g., website traffic, social media engagement) to refine campaigns and achieve marketing goals.
    • Report on paid advertising performance.
    • Oversee website content to ensure timely updates, accuracy, and content improvements.
  3. Brand Management and Development
    • Work with revenue and leadership team to create strategic, seasonal hotel packages designed to highlight property USPs.
    • Lead initiatives to grow brand visibility in local markets through targeted campaigns, partnerships, and PR efforts.
  4. Local Marketing:
    • Identify and develop relationships with local partners, including media, local businesses, community organizations and community VIPs.
    • Oversee local advertising strategy, creative deliverables and ROI.
    • Serve as marketing champion for on-site activations including the design and distribution of marketing material physically and digitally.
    • Manage process of design projects and implementation of on-site marketing touchpoints such as brand collateral and general marketing material.

  1. External Partnerships:
    • Cultivate and increase local partnerships through events, sponsorships, giveaways, etc.
    • Develop and expand media/influencer outreach and partnership efforts working with local Convention and Visitors Bureau as often as possible.
    • Lead and coordinate efforts for public relations.
    • Leverage available brand affiliated marketing support resources.
  2. Data and Reporting
    • Track and report on the performance of marketing initiatives across all properties.
    • Present insights and recommendations to corporate leadership and hotel general managers.
    • Maintain accurate records of budgets, timelines, and results of each property's marketing efforts.

Internal: General Manager, Sales Managers, Front Desk Staff, Executive Chef, Restaurant Managers, Corporate Marketing Team, and Corporate Revenue Management Team.
External: Community partners, vendor support staff, and vendor technical support.
Q U A L I F I C A T I O N S
Essential:
  1. 3-5 years in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or other field related experience.
  2. Computer literate, comfortable with applications such as Outlook, Microsoft software, and design tools (such as Canva and Adobe applications).
  3. 1-2 years in paid advertising experience.
  4. 1-2 years in working with external partners.
  5. Understands social media KPIs and application to overall strategy.
  6. Displays knowledge and understanding of social media platforms relevant for industry, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, etc.
  7. Has creative eye for capturing quality photography/videos and ability to make minor edits.
  8. Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy, and can pick up new tools quickly.
  9. Maintains exceptional communications skills that effectively communicates information and ideas through verbal, written, and visual format.
  10. Takes ideas and sees them through. Follows directions thoroughly, multitasks well and practices superior time management.
  11. Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead in content development, creation and editing of content, online reputation management, and capturing on-site activations.
  12. Can easily and naturally promote brand advocacy through relationships, online and off.
  13. Demonstrates winning social customer service techniques being a clear thinker, remaining calm, resolving problems using good judgment, empathy, patience, advocacy and conflict resolution.
  14. Maintains personal social media profiles in a professional manner.

Desirable:
  1. Previous experience of managing business social media profiles.
  2. Previous experience in the hospitality industry.
  3. Previous experience in public relations.
  4. Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels.
  5. Previous experience with social media software such as Facebook Business Manager other social media dashboards.

P H Y S I C A L A B I L I T I E S
Essential:
While performing the duties of this job, the Marketing Manager is regularly required to move around the facility; to stand for long hours during events. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events. Generally, works in an office setting with minimal adverse exposure to environmental hazards.
