What is corporate marketing?

Corporate marketing refers to the strategies and activities a company undertakes to promote its overall brand, values, and reputation, rather than focusing on individual products or services. This function works to create a cohesive brand identity and communicate the company's mission to stakeholders, customers, and the public. Corporate marketing often includes brand management, public relations, corporate communications, and strategic partnerships to drive awareness and positive perception of the company as a whole.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a corporate marketing professional?

To thrive as a Corporate Marketing professional, you need expertise in market research, strategic planning, branding, and a relevant degree such as marketing, communications, or business. Familiarity with digital marketing platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools like Google Analytics or HubSpot is typically required. Creativity, strong written and verbal communication, and project management skills help you stand out in this role. These competencies are essential for effectively promoting the company, driving business growth, and maintaining a competitive edge in the market.

How does a corporate marketing professional typically collaborate with other departments within an organization?

Corporate Marketing professionals work closely with teams such as Sales, Product Development, and Public Relations to ensure brand consistency and to align marketing initiatives with overall business objectives. Regular cross-functional meetings are common, where marketing strategies are tailored to support product launches, sales campaigns, and corporate communications. This collaboration helps create unified messaging and maximizes the impact of marketing efforts across different channels, making strong interpersonal and project management skills essential for success in the role.

Job description

Recorded Future is looking for a hands-on corporate marketing leader to shape how we show up in the world at a pivotal moment in our growth. Following our acquisition by Mastercard, you will help bring our "Better Together" narrative to life-reinforcing Recorded Future's position as the world's leading threat intelligence company while drawing on greater global reach and resources.

As Director, Corporate Marketing, you will own brand and creative, corporate communications and PR, executive messaging, and social media. This is a build-and-transform opportunity: you will create an internal creative agency, evolve our visual identity and corporate voice, and connect brand impact to measurable business outcomes, including marketing-influenced pipeline.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead Recorded Future's global brand and creative direction, evolving our visual identity, corporate voice, and how we show up across channels and markets.

  • Build and lead an in-house creative agency, bringing together creative, content, and social capabilities to support the organization.

  • Own corporate communications and PR, including media strategy, major company announcements, and rapid-response communications during significant cyber events.

  • Elevate executive thought leadership, creating compelling narratives and expanding the presence of our executives and researchers across media, events, and industry stages.

  • Drive a consistent global corporate narrative, partnering with regional marketing teams to ensure our positioning resonates wherever we operate.

  • Grow brand awareness and market influence through corporate content, social media, earned media, speaking opportunities, and industry recognition.

  • Measure corporate marketing's business impact, connecting brand and communications performance to share of voice, direct and referral traffic, and marketing-influenced pipeline.

What You'll Bring:
  • 10+ years of B2B marketing experience, including leadership of corporate marketing, communications, brand, or a related function.

  • Proven leadership across brand, creative, and communications, including experience developing high-performing multidisciplinary teams.

  • Deep corporate communications and PR expertise, including media relations, executive communications, and high-stakes or rapid-response communications.

  • Strong brand and creative judgment, with experience shaping visual identity, creative direction, and a consistent corporate narrative.

  • Exceptional writing and editorial skills, with the ability to translate complex technical topics into compelling stories for executive and external audiences.

  • Experience operating across global markets and navigating complex, co-branded, or enterprise environments.

  • A hands-on, commercially minded approach, with experience measuring brand impact beyond awareness metrics and connecting marketing activity to business outcomes. Cybersecurity or technical enterprise B2B experience is strongly preferred.
