The team is comprised of event managers who coordinate complex events with many logistics as well as a team of catering professionals who coordinate the logistics within Invesco's conference centers.

About the role:

The Regional Lead, Corporate Events will manage select high visibility meetings and events across North America, ensuring executional excellence and continuity for strategically important programs. In addition, this role assumes formal regional responsibility for the New York office and the greater New York area, with direct accountability for all meetings and events within the region. The position is responsible for people management, with responsibility for leading and developing a regional team that includes two Invesco Event Managers and three third party resources. This person will work very closely with the Regional Lead, North America for all U.S. conference centers as well at the Senior Manager of Corporate Events to ensure alignment of processes, service levels and firm goals. Rather than managing events independently or with limited resources, the Regional Lead leverages the full local team to drive results, strengthen governance, and scale impact.

Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Serve as Regional Lead for New York, overseeing all meetings and events while aligning regional priorities with North America strategy and acting as the primary escalation point
  • Ensuring all meetings and events within the New York building and the New York area align with the expectations of Invesco's client experience initiatives and managing the "client experience initiative" for the team
  • Lead and manage a blended team of internal and third-party staff, driving performance, accountability, role clarity, and team development
  • Oversee enterprise event management, including select high-visibility North America events, ensuring quality while delegating execution across the team
  • Drive Client Experience strategy by setting goals, metrics, and accountability to deliver measurable improvements across planning, execution, and post-event evaluation
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with senior stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor and proactively influencing event approach and outcomes
  • Maintain end-to-end accountability for event planning and execution, including budgets, timelines, logistics, vendor coordination, and on-site leadership
  • Oversee venue sourcing, vendor management, and financial governance, ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and accurate use of Cvent and related systems
  • Ensure adherence to compliance, risk, and governance standards while driving continuous improvement and operational efficiencies across the regional program

Requirements of the Role:

  • 7-10 years of experience in corporate meetings, events, hospitality, or related fields, with a track record of leading complex events and managing teams
  • Working in-office at our New York location 5 days a week
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive team development
  • Advanced knowledge of event operations, vendor management, and meeting technology, including high proficiency with Cvent
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills
  • CMP certification preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Ability to meet physical and scheduling demands, flexible hours, and travel as needed
  • Ability to handle large volume, stressful workloads, as well as having difficult conversations in a professional and productive manner
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with senior management and Invesco's clients

The salary range for this position in New York is $135,000 - $150,000 base/year. The total compensation offered for this position includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, experience and location.
