Job Description
Cornerstone Service Center, Inc. seeks a talented and energetic Healthcare Billing Analyst to play a key role in the growth and development of Cornerstone Healthcare, Inc. a leading organization dedicated to providing life changing home health and hospice services across the Western United States. As a highly visible, accessible and dedicated member of our service team, the primary purpose of this position is to train and assist agency business office managers and staff on billing, collecting and recording revenue transactions in the home health and hospice industry. The Analyst can be located remotely in Idaho, Washington, California, Arizona, Utah, Texas or Oregon and will be expected to travel to locations throughout the Western United States.
Administrative Functions:
โ€ข Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and support the agencies' accounts receivable functions under the supervision of the Director of Accounts Receivable.
โ€ข Enhance the agencies policies and procedures surrounding the revenue and accounts receivable cycles.
โ€ข Train, monitor and update the policies and procedures related to current government regulations for home health and hospice.
โ€ข Assist business office manager, office staff and any related department in the development and use of accounting policies and procedures, and establish a rapport in and between departments so that each can realize the importance of accurate reporting procedures.
โ€ข Monitor internal controls to assure compliance with established procedures related to revenue and accounts receivable.
โ€ข Monitor accounts receivables. Participate in weekly Billing Accountability Meetings and monthly aging reviews. Initiate an action plan and present to the Business Office Manager and Executive Director.
โ€ข Expert knowledge on software systems used in the Home Care industry. Ability to train staff on software systems and processes.
โ€ข Develop and utilize computer reports and output as required.
โ€ข Monitor the workflow process within the system, and alerting appropriate organizational Resources.
โ€ข Equipped with positive problem solving mindset.
Personnel Functions:
โ€ข Assist in the recruitment and selection of competent business office personnel.
โ€ข Review and check competence of the business office work force and make recommendations for adjustments/corrections that may become necessary.
Staff Development:
โ€ข Attend and participate in workshops, seminars, etc., to keep abreast of current changes in the home health and hospice field, as well as to maintain a professional status.
โ€ข Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment.
Qualifications
โ€ข Multiple years of experience in the business office in the Home Health and Hospice fields.
โ€ข Experience as an accounts receivable area resource.
โ€ข Experience assisting, training and supporting business office manager at multiple sites.
โ€ข Experience in Homecare Homebase software a plus.
