Parent volunteers may be parents/guardians, community members, or upper grade students whose participation supports the parent volunteer program, school program, or an activity or event.
How much time and commitment is involved depends on a volunteer's availability. The time commitment can range from one time only assignments to monthly, or weekly activities to meet the goals, needs and priorities of the parent volunteers or school to help ensure student success.
Parent Volunteer Responsibilities:
  • Be an ambassador for CCA
  • Understand and promote CCA's mission
  • Be familiar with the school's programs, policies, and operations
  • Assist with programs, events, and activities organized by the parent volunteers, school, classroom teacher, or other volunteer groups to support students
  • Work cooperatively as a reliable team member to complete volunteer assignments.
  • Understand the ethical and legal responsbilities involved and maintain strict confidentiality regarding the privacy of student records, students, and staff.
  • Provide Background information annually for a Criminal Background check
