Job description

Part of Dover Corporation's Engineered Systems segment, Vehicle Service Group (VSG) is a strong, diverse and dynamic global leader in the vehicle service industry. VSG comprises 13 major vehicle lifting, wheel service, diagnostic and collision repair brands: Rotary Lift, Chief, Forward, Direct-Lift, Ravaglioli, Hanmecson, Revolution, Elektron, Blitz, Nogra, Butler, Space and Sirio.

SUMMARY:

The Digital Technology Manager is a strong business analyst, trusted business advisor, and Information Technology leader accountable for guidance, planning, execution, and support to ensure IT solutions are efficiently delivered and meet defined business requirements, while concurrently promoting the IT vision, values, services, and capabilities. The incumbent must communicate clearly, negotiate, listen, mitigate conflict, build alliances, and achieve desired results using effective interpersonal and diplomacy skills. Working across organizational boundaries, the Digital Technology Manager implements technology solutions, supports business processes, and partners with Managed Service Providers, Integrators, IT Business Partners, and others to deliver technology solutions, as well as supporting operational internal systems and solution needs to achieve business goals. The Digital Technology Manager effectively influences business leadership and management decisions and drives ownership and acceptance of changes to the business.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

  • Leads a team to define and implement needed solutions within ERP, CRM, MES, and other Enterprise Business System domains to optimize and enhance core business capabilities
  • Manage team for daily site/region operational support and minimize operational costs through utilizing standard IT capabilities and business processes
  • Demonstrates technical, change management, project management, systems thinking, and thought leadership skills with internal and/or external VSG stakeholders to align technology solutions with business strategies and deliver successfully
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to develop multi-year Business Solutions roadmaps working collaboratively with cross-functional VSG business and IT teams, including IT architects, all aligned to business strategy
  • Act as a Project Manager by overseeing the prioritization of IT projects with business teams, securing business and IT resources to drive and implement projects on time, within budget (CapEx and OpEx), and with high quality for IT related solution implementations
  • Maintains oversight relationships with Service Delivery partners, performs routine analysis and reconciliation, acts as escalation point to ensure services meet customer operational requirements, support VSG's short-term and long-term business goals/strategy, and aligns with IT capabilities
  • Responsible for Sarbanes-Oxley and other applicable compliance requirements in various enterprise systems. Responsible for ensuring the operating effectiveness of internal controls, including monitoring processes and practices necessary for legal and ethical compliance. Maintains and updates company policies and procedures related to digital technology
  • Supports and maintains the IT DR/BC Strategy for VSG through scheduled testing of systems and processes
  • Enthusiastic adoption and consistent demonstration of VSG's Core Values: Never Compromise Trust; Honesty; Partner with Customers; Commitment; Teamwork; Personal Development; and Lead by Example
  • Develops, and then demonstrates, in-depth knowledge of VSG and corporate IT goals and objectives, policies, functions, capabilities, processes, tools, and service providers
  • Facilitates ad hoc reporting to support Administration, Finance & Accounting, Sales & Distribution, and Manufacturing business decisions
  • Leads, mentors, and guides IT employees through goal development, scheduled one-on-one meetings, encouraging regular self-paced training, and conducting standard performance evaluations
  • Performance of these essential functions requires regular, consistent availability, accessibility, and presence on-site and after-hours (to address emergencies and critical situations outside of normal business operating hours in the early mornings, evenings, and/or during weekends)

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • A Bachelor degree, preferably in a STEM related area, is required
  • 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst, IT Manager or IT Project Manager
  • 7+ years' experience in a Manufacturing environment
  • 7+ years' experience delivering services and projects via 3rd party providers
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills for process definition and root cause analysis
  • Strong business acumen, presentation, and communication skills with all internal and external stakeholders, suppliers and vendor partners
  • In-depth knowledge of multiple core business process areas (i.e. Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, etc.) to identify and communicate how IT solutions can support achieving short and long-term business goals
  • Strong knowledge and experience of a variety of Business Systems (ERP (prefer Oracle EBS/Cloud), CRM (prefer Salesforce), WMS, MES, PLM or other), SaaS, Integrations, ITIL concepts, SLA's, SLO's, KPI's, IT Operations Management, and Managed Services engagements
  • Familiar with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other methodologies for continuous quality improvements
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows and Mac OS and skills using MS Office applications (especially Project, Excel PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio)
  • IT or Manufacturing/Supply Chain industry relevant certifications in project management, ERP (Oracle preferred), CRM (Salesforce preferred), cloud (Azure preferred), ITIL, APICS (other ASCM certs), etc.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This position's job duties are generally performed in an office environment. It may be necessary for a team member in this position to enter a shop environment where they may be exposed to loud noises from operating machinery, cold temperatures, and chemicals and vapors. Any required PPE will be provided.
  • Work for extended periods of time in a stationary position daily while operating a computer and other tools and equipment and completing required job tasks
  • Lift, transport, and/or move up to 35 pounds of weight occasionally in performing regular duties.  Occasional bending, stooping, walking up and down stairs, and kneeling may be required
