Job description

Role Summary
This role involves providing expert technical guidance and support for network infrastructure projects within a large enterprise environment. The position requires in-depth knowledge of Cisco networking products, mobile core networks, and 5G technologies. The individual will collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to support network enhancements, testing, deployment, and operational activities, ensuring optimal network performance, resiliency, and scalability.

Responsibilities

  • Offer technical guidance for network design, upgrades, and architecture improvements, focusing on Cisco solutions and 5G networks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define testing objectives and develop comprehensive test plans for network validation.
  • Document and communicate test results, including reports on network performance and fault analysis.
  • Support the design, implementation, and validation of laboratory environments, including feature upgrades and infrastructure testing.
  • Develop migration documentation and assist with transitioning network solutions from lab to production environment.
  • Provide technical assistance during escalation events, working with support teams to ensure rapid resolution of service disruptions.
  • Review proposed network changes for risk, impact, and readiness, emphasizing resiliency, scalability, and service quality.
  • Support major deployment activities and troubleshooting hardware, software, or configuration issues.
  • Share technical expertise through documentation, training sessions, and knowledge transfer activities.
  • Participate in operational meetings, service reviews, risk assessments, and future network planning initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience supporting mobile core network environments, including packet core technologies.
  • Strong understanding of 5G networking concepts, including call flow analysis and network architecture.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute structured network testing and validation plans.
  • Skilled in creating detailed technical documentation, including test reports, migration guides, and operational reports.
  • Experience supporting production network deployments and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Knowledge of network design principles such as resiliency, fault recovery, scalability, and Quality of Service.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and configuration issues within complex network environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work onsite during standard business hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM), with readiness to participate in after-hours deployment activities and incident response.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired must verify their identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

Publishing Pay Range: $60.00 - $70.00 hourly

This position is based in the office and requires employee to work on-site.
