How You Will Make an Impact:

The Network Engineer is an integral part of the Technology Team. Network Engineer will lead a team of network and system engineers in overseeing the technical success of our production environments in the Permian Basin.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and/or provide support for the evaluation, installation, and maintenance of production infrastructure including installation and upgrade of control systems hardware, software, control networks, user administration, database administration, security, system monitoring, backup and recovery of Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems and SQL Databases
  • Lead and/or support implementation of OT infrastructure standards and best practices across all Site OT and Process Automation platforms, working with other process automation engineers, IT and OT professionals.
  • Be the go-to Infrastructure expert at the site who bridges the gap between Automation and underlying Storage Compute and Network infrastructure.
  • Execute control system virtualization/cloud administration, user administration, system monitoring, capacity planning, design, installation, configuration, and upgrade of platform.
  • Execute computer system validation and control system lifecycle management.
  • Site Lead for Global Cyber Security Initiatives
  • Lead and/or support the development of an organization's infrastructure strategy architecture, service delivery standards and best practices.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Technical Degree and 5 -8 years' experience
  • 5 years' Experience with Operating Systems, Virtualization, LAN/WAN, Firewalls, SQL Servers client-server and terminal virtualization as a System Administrator
  • 24X7 support, participate in an on-call environment to meet business continuity requirements, including weekends and holidays as required
  • A minimum of 5 years systems engineer experience involved in the design, implementation, and/or support of automation systems, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Willingness to travel amongst locations 50% of the time
  • Hard working, driven, results-oriented and focused on success
  • High ethical standards and integrity
  • Ability to perform work with little to no direction
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Time management, organizational and planning processes
  • Team player, hands-on attitude, willingness to be actively involved

  • Knowledge of OT//SCADA environments/technologies; demonstrated experience a real plus
  • Knowledge of OT protocols: Modbus/OPC; demonstrated experience a real plus
  • Experience designing, developing, and deploying infrastructure in an enterprise environment
  • Experience working with enterprise level systems and infrastructure
  • Experience working with VMware, MS Server, Active Directory, Citrix technologies
  • Experience working with Cisco networking including routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Experience working with enterprise security solutions
