Part Time Driver Job Description
Position Information: The part time driver position ensures that deliveries are handled in a safe, respectful, and timely manner to customers, dealerships, and vendors. The part time driver will interact with customers, managers, and vendors daily.

  • Learn, Understand, and incorporate the Thomas philosophy of doing business into all daily activities related to customer and coworker relationship management

  • Successfully Maintain the following accountabilities
  • Safely transport vehicles
  • Verify condition of inventory
  • Verify and deliver paperwork
  • Report any issues to supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Greet every customer, every day
  • Maintain high ethical standards when dealing with customers, co-workers and vendors
  • Put safety first. Adhere to all Safety Policies, Procedures and Personal Protective Equipment standards
  • Safely drive Thomas Automotive vehicles to customers, dealerships, and vendors
  • Pick up customers and deliver parts to assigned locations
  • Pick up and deliver cars to customers, satellite stores, and vendors.
  • Deliver small packages such as mail or parts to various locations in the Thomas organization.
  • Move cars around in lot to ensure proper appearance of lot and to readjust for productivity of service and sales.
  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace, as well as ensuring the entire facility is orderly, clean and free of hazards

Requirements
Qualifications: Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Valid driver's license and a good driving record. Ability to use computer and calculator. Will be trained on parts department's computer inventory system. Ability to drive safely. Ability to communicate well orally and in writing with customers, vendors, and other contacts. Professional personal appearance.
Working Conditions: This is not a physically demanding position. Will drive company-provided vehicles each shift.
